  1. Your post doesn't specify all that you've done so I ask these questions. 1. Do you have the Map ID by itself in the Map ID field and do not have it in the Mod ID(s) field ? 2. Does your Custom Launch Parameters start something like this? CrystalIsles?Multihome=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?Port=xxxxxx?QueryPort=xxxxxxx?SessionName=xxxxxxxxxxx?MaxPlayers=xx?listen?ServerPassword=?ServerAdminPassword=xxxxx?RCONEnabled=True?RCONPort=xxxxxx?AltSaveDirectoryName=SavedArkxxxxx?ModMapID804312798?GameModIDs=xxxxxxxxxxx,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 3. Did you start server first with only Map mod and no others active?( I had a map mod that didn't work with another mod once. Had to remove and then add mods one at a time until found conflict.) The info tabs on the control panel have some good pointers and the one for the Custom Launch Parameters field will give you examples populated with your server info so you don't have to construct your line from scratch. Btw, I'm still learning this stuff myself, so I might not know what I'm doing.
  2. Has anyone had this issue? Since the update, there is an area on the Ragnarok map that I keep getting disconnected from the game with an "Lost/timed out connection to host error". None of the other players on the server are having this issue. It's the Viking Bay area, north of spawn area 3, map Lat; 10-20, Lon; 30-40. I enter the area, get timeout error and kicked, log back in and same thing happens. My friends drag me out of the area and I can log back in. As long as I stay away from this area I can play game normally. We've tested the area and it seems to be circular, with the center out in the ocean somewhere, not 100% sure of that however.
  3. Just checking in to see if "very soon" has happened yet? I'm looking at changing from CE to DayZ.
  4. Were the Conan Exiles devs aware of server hardware issues with the game? Problems that might affect some server providers, just not all? Reminds me of No Mans Sky launch a bit. Skip to the fourth paragraph and read highlighted section. Here is the link to the page. http://steamcommunity.com/app/440900/discussions/0/133256240728180182/ This is the forum post from Steam. Community Manager (Jens Erik) [developer] Feb 3 @ 10:30amFeb 3 @ 10:30am update on official servers (PLEASE READ) Greetings, Exiles! These first few days of Early Access has been an absolute whirlwind! It’s been incredible watching so many of you join us on this Early Access adventure. We would never have imagined that so many of you would be joining us so soon, and while we certainly knew that Conan Exiles had the potential to become very popular, the initial popularity is more than we anticipated. A pleasant surprise, for sure, but as you all know it has also uncovered some unforeseen issues that we are now working very hard to resolve. We have already released several patches and the entire team is working on getting the next one ready. We remain one hundred percent committed to the Early Access model and that means listening to the community and making sure we improve the game constantly. Right now we are focusing on the most pressing issues like rubberbanding, disconnects, and other server related issues, and as soon as we have that under control we can start looking closer at gameplay improvements as well as new content and features (check out the What’s Next for Conan Exiles[blog.conanexiles.com] page for a glimpse of what we’re planning to do). Right now there are nearly 7700 servers online running Conan Exiles. About 7500 of these are privately run servers, while 200 are official servers hosted by PingPerfect (source: http://topconanservers.com/) Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming demand for servers and our needs for administrating them, our official partner has been unable to deliver the level of quality and service we require. Because of this we have mutually agreed to end the partnership. We are in the process of finding new partners with the ideal hardware we can move the existing game databases to. However, due to the high demand for Conan Exiles servers, many hosting companies are simply out of the hardware that we need and as such this process might take a few days. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and encourage you to play on any of the thousands of unofficial servers that are out there. Many are home to thriving and very welcoming communities. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has played and made progress on the official servers, but we think it is better to deal with this problem now rather than later. As a result of this we have also had to remove the 25% Lifetime Discount offer from the Barbarian Edition. The provider assures us that those who have already purchased the Barbarian Edition will have their discount honored, but the discount will not be included in future purchases. The provider is currently out of stock, but hope to have new servers available soon. We know this is a problem with many other providers as well: the demand has simply been too overwhelming. Lastly we just want to thank you for sticking with us through these initial teething problems. Early Access means that there will be issues, especially in the early days, but it also means that we as developers have to take responsibility to sort those issues out as soon as possible. We look forward to working closely with you, the players, in the months ahead. Please feel free to join us in the discussion on the Steam forum and the [Conan Exiles subreddit. Best regards, The Conan Exiles Team PS: We would also like to add that we're keeping the game databases (characters, buildings, progression, etc) from the old servers and our plan is to re-implement them when the new servers roll out.
  5. A bit more information please? Did you see them spawn in the dinos? If so, then it's likely they have your admin password or it is some sort of hack. I don't know how effective Battleye actually is in this case. Did they just show up at your base with the dinos in tow? Were they high level, uber powerful dinos? That could mean you have downloads enabled and they brought the dinos in from another server or single player game. Were you ingame to see this happen or is this info from tribe logs or other players?
  6. I can't say this will work for all situations, but some might try it and see. I did not have a game.ini. backup as well, thinking it was included in server backup. We have gotten our dino's back to where they were however. Seeing that the stats looked like default/base game numbers, we tinkered with the control panel settings even though they were the same that we've had since server started. Select the Modify Server Config button on your control panel, scroll down to Tamed Dinosaur (stat name) (Modifies the tamed dinosaur per level xxxxxx multiplier stat) and change the number there. We had 2 still showing so I changed it to 5 and logged onto server to check if it changed anything, it did, lol. Then I stopped server, changed value back to 2, restarted and checked in to find our dino's were back to the stats they had before update. One of the players is breeding Argents and actually had records of his birds stats so we were able to verify they were back to before update nerfed them. He will be experimenting with taking an uploaded dino and changing its stats by editing the saved file, in case this fix doesn't work next time.
  7. I don't know much myself but this site, http://ark.gamepedia.com/Server_Configuration has helped me learn about server settings and such. It will get you started and narrow down the areas/specifics you might have questions about.
  8. Something to look into are your mods. While you probably have updated them on your server, they might not be updated with Ark itself. Go to each of your mods in the Steam Workshop and check when they were last updated and also see if any other players are having similar issues that you have. If all of that looks ok, double check your launch parameters, especially if your using the Custom Launch option. I had some trouble not long ago, turned in a ticket and ( a bit embarrassing ) a space was found in my custom launch line. Might not have been all of my problem but it didn't help.
  9. I can't answer to a possible issue with Win10, but I recently had an issue with a mod that caused crashes for some players on my server. ( edit. Two players that had crashes are running Win10) One of our mods had an update bug, found it after removing mods one by one until players weren't crashing. While you wrote that you have made no changes, your current mods might not have updated or updated with a corrupted file. Perhaps list your mods, someone else might have had similar issues and can provide more info than I have.
