I'm pretty sure you need admin access on the machine, and the machine has to be Windows. I'm fairly certain the dedicated is a Windows VM, but I don't think we can use this without Admin intervention. Can anyone confirm or deny? Think the Admins would allow for something like this?

I would also like to know how you forced an update, @Eroing. The server is stuck on 1.2, but the client has updated to 1.3, and updating, updating/validating, and cleaning the SteamCMD folder hasn't worked. What did you do?
