  1. Sounds like a corrupt file to me. My server just froze and crashed too. Can't get a response. I submitted a ticket.

    GAME SERVER ID #5673

Mine went down too in the middle of the night and have no idea what happened. Submitted a ticket, but haven't gotten an email with a ticket number so no idea if that worked..

    GAME SERVER ID #5987

    Any ideas?

Im dumb and wasnt registered on the support site. I can see my tickets now :D

  2. So I tried updating my command line with this because the new update serversettings didnt work for my server and the cpanel said the commandline accepts up to 255 characters. This is my code

    /Game/Maps/TheIslandSubMaps/TheIsland?Multihome=167.114.172.219?Port=18915?QueryPort=18916?SessionName=SevenSatrapsRP?MaxPlayers=50?listen?ServerPassword=?ServerAdminPassword=poopisloob?ServerPVE=true?ServerCrosshair=true?MapPlayerLocation=true?DifficultyOffset=.5

I added =true to some of them because of the dev said thats how they work with the update. Is this not correct?

  3. These commands need to be used as commandline arguments when launching the server. You can not activate them in-game.

    An example would be

    Server.exe TheIsland?listen?ServerCrosshair?AllowThirdPersonPlayer?MapPlayerLocation

anyone know what he means by commandline arguments ??

Ya I just looked into it. There is a special launch option you can out those parameters into on your cpanel. BUT DON'T DO IT YET! Apparently the host is still getting this feature working. I tried it last night and it crashed the server and wouldn't come back up till we switched locations.

  4. I had the same issue and it wasn't resolved until I made a couple of tickets about it.

I think you will have to put in a ticket and wait for them to fix it.

Submitted two already, one last night at midnight and one at 10 this morning. Got off work, still same issue. Very frustrating.

  5. If you have white screen, that will have to go through the support ticket route, unfortunately.

If thats the case, I put a ticket in at midnight EST and again this morning around 10: a.m. EST. Why is my game panel still white? Please, provide some answers here...

  6.

Hang in there everyone! It's chaotic and support ticket respones are a bit slow, but we do have a lot of ARK servers running just fine.

    Quick fix check list:

    • Keep switching locations and run the Steam update once or twice if you want to try and get your game server online immediately.
    • Make sure that custom launch parameters are not turned on and that your hostname is alphanumeric.
    • Use the Steam browser to find your game server. To find that, right-click Steam icon in your task bar and click Servers, then filter for ARK: Survival Evolved.

Seeing 0 players in your control panel?

    • Please restart your ARK: Survival Evolved game server if you are having issues seeing 0 players from the control panel.

This would be great if I had something other than a white screen for my game panel. I wish I could try and switch locations.

  7. Well I'll admit...I don't know jack squat about servers and have never hosted a server before. But the streamer Mr. Moon has a server running perfectly and has been for a full day if not longer. So I am just confused. And I can't get on any other server cuz they are all full. I don't have a whole lot of money and I sunk all my gaming budget into this server and game so I'm frustrated. I can't help it. But I'll give it more time I guess.

Moon is a streamer as you said and was given his server 24 hours in advance to help promote the game. Lirik, Cohh and other got it too.

This is a message i got in an email from survival servers:

Our entire team is working late into the night to make sure our customer's game servers are online the exact minute the developers figure out the bugs and fix the issues with the game servers. We will not be sleeping until you have your game server up and running.

Sounds like there was a distro error when the devs sent the servers files to hosts and both parties are working to resolve the issue. I checked with another host I use for RoK and their servers have not come online either so this isnt strictly limited to Survival Servers.

Edit: Im waiting as well too, dont think I have ever hit a refresh button as much as I have tonight but I dont think the host is to blame necessairly. If anyone the devs needed to help the hosts better prepare. From what I understand the devs kept hosts in the dark untill the game went public so they know as much as we did when it launched.
