Sorry to be an absolutely massive degenerate but I'm struggling with this.
I cant work out how to add shit to my server. So i tried to add one from armaholic which allows you to buy Bundesweher uniforms in-game and I uploaded it to the server but It's not available anywhere.
I need a mod to edit the spawn gear of players.
Could you spoon feed it to me so I understand? I have no idea how to apply this shit. #MassiveDegenerateInNeedOfHelp
Adding a mod straight from armaholic can set you up with a bunch of problems in my experience, usually BE related.
Also when adding a mod with new textures and stuff like the Bundesweher requires the client to download the mod aswell.
You need it properly installed with key's on your server, and so does the client connecting to your server.
Id reckomend looking through the many available mods at a3wasteland website to begin with, and when you've grown more experienced youll set the other stuff up in a jiff

Have had a server running this game from home for quite a while now and it just struck me..
It's a brilliant well working and fairly popular survivalgame, id love to see it hosted by survivalserver.com!
(And i would definatly sign up for one!)

If you want a 70 - 100 slot server(Dedicated) that runs perfectly at all times, you would normally have to pay more than TWICE what you are paying today.
Ofcourse we always want the best possible service for the buck, but is some lag unreasonable at this time (Slotservers + new ARK release), i think not.
To add to the discussion, i have noticed longer restarttimes on my A3 server located in France since ARK release, dont know if it's in my head though, or if its due to the new jurassic park game

Hello there,
My restarttimes seems to have gone crazy for some reason, im running a heavily modded server so using the CP is not an option for me.
Where in code is the restarts adjusted ?
(Im confident that its not in the epochconfig.hpp cause it doesnt match the times between restarts im getting by far)
4 hours turned pretty much into 6 - 7 hours..
Announcments go out but restart doesnt happen following them.

Not sure about how it works in Arma two, but dont you get a Console and a RPT log aswell ?
Would probably explain alot if we saw them.
(DaRT log doesnt really cut it when searching for errors)

Hi, I've got that same problem.
Updated 4 hours ago, my server "stopped" and nothing has worked this far.
This happened on Monday as well, but then it got fixed after 10-12 hours so I guess we just have to wait.
Have you poked it with a stick yet ?

Hiya guys,
If requested, would it be possible to rent a Clean standard (Unmodded) Arma 3 server ?
Interest in my Community lais both in the survivalmods but also in the coop/persistent missions, so it would be a pretty naturall step forward to us..
I know i could probably just stop using the CP and remove all the Epochfiles from the server, but it would just be less of a hassle if it could be done the right way to begin with

I've tried to. I had to add the individual Steam App ID's for each DLC and the only one that does not work is the Marksman one. Is that normal?
Also, does anyone know of any decent sites I can use to read about all this stuff? I really want to add some mods to the server but I have no idea how to.

Id go look at the boards on http://a3wasteland.com/ for additional mods etc.
Im pretty sure you will have to work the loottables yourself to get the Marksman items to spawn in vehicles and Buildings.

I have worked out how to modify stuff. How do I add DLC to it?
If you mena DLC´s such as marksman, then you just need to run a server update on the controlpanel and that will sort itself out.

Well,
Considering that the first release is a early-alpha one, there is really not many around beeing "know how´s".
Pretty sure the Admins here will not be able to release much information about the game itself before actual release.
Once again Early-Alpha, so just count on it beeing tons of wipes and updates the first period of time to make the game properly stable.

Hello guys at survivalservers!
Im considering giving this ARK game a go, with both buying the game and renting a server, but i have very little experience of the game, i havent participated in any early closed testing or anything..
How´s demand on servers looking ?
Are there any information about the state of the antihack/cheatcode implemented ?
Im not looking to feed a hackfest like most public RoK stil looks like..
(very unfortunate due to the game being pure epic..)

Not sure about the folder structure on a A2 server as i only run/ran A3 ones.
In A3 they can be found at /Admin/RotatedLogs/
