Spawn level, change difficulty....

Petite

Recommended Posts

I was looking through the file to change my wild dinos level, for now the highest level that spawn on the map is cap to 120 but I want them to be able to spawn with level 300  I know there is plenty topic on that but none of the answer helped me.

First in my gameusersetting.ini it set to DifficultyOffset=1.000000, I read that you can not go higher than 1 so ??? If I look here http://ark.gamepedia.com/Difficulty it talk about   OverrideOfficialDifficulty=10.0 that line is not in my file, what do I do with that?

Can we remove the line DifficultyOffset=1.000000 and add the other line instead?

I just dont wanna do something and destroy peoples things.

Thanks for your answer.

You said you read plenty of the other topics on this in here, but they explain exactly what you are asking.

First, make sure you have [server Settings] in your GameUserSettings.ini file.

Then underneath that either create or change DifficultyOffset=1.000000 to 5.000000 or whatever you wish.

Then underneath that either create or change OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0 or whatever you wish.

Save the .ini, send it to the server via FTP, then restart the server. Once the server is running again, you can either wait for dinos to be killed and the new spawns will be the proper level variance, or you can wipe all dinos on the server (which usually crashes mine so be prepared) with "admincheat destroywilddinos", no quotes, in the console.

And voila.
