  1. So apparently SS does not support DayZ v1.8.3 yet. So one of the tech support guys changed my server to 1.8.2. Great, except I still can't join it, despite the fact I downgraded my game to 1.8.2 (done this several times before). The server shows up in the game server list and when I try to join it gets hung on loading the Mission file (the mission file is larger than it was before) and then it times out and returns a Lost Connection error message. After that, the server does not show up in the game server list as the status of the server changes to Stopped in the Cpanel. I still need help with this... One thing that is strange is that the server shows up on DayZ Commander with the wrong information. It displays my old DayZ Epoch information and the 1.8.2 information does not show up at all (not sure if any of that matters). Anyway, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Vladick
  2. I've also tried to uninstall/install every server option systematically and have had no success. I've also tried to load a backup Epoch database but that didn't work either. I submitted a trouble ticket two days ago but have heard nothing. Kinda surprised because they were very helpful previously. I'm bummed really kinda bummed because I wanted to get this server up and running so that my friends (and enemies!) could play over these last few vacation days. Right now I don't have either an Epoch or a Vanilla DayZ server. If anyone has had any experience changing maps (especially from Epoch to DayZ), I could really use some help. Thanks! Vladick

  4. BTW, I tried to view my database in phpMyAdmin and it appears I don't have a database. There were no tables and no data. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks! Vladick

  6. Okay, so i posted a previous topic concerning changing maps as I wanted to change from Epoch to DayZ 1.8.3. Got no replies to that so I went ahead and made the map change. Here is what happened: 1. I changed my map from Epoch to DayZ 1.8.3 2. Server failed to show in either the game or in DayZ Commander 3. I remoted to it using the IP and was kicked immediately due to script restriction #1 4. I uninstalled Battleye and reinstalled, restarting server 5. I uninstalled Antihack and reinstalled, restarting server 6. Server still not showing up in the game or in DayZ Commander 7. Remoted in with IP and it started to download the Mission file but the file was really small (45 kb) 8. The mission file downloads and then the game hangs one the DayZ logo screen That's as far as I've got. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything I can thing of. I am now going to submit a trouble ticket, but sometimes this is faster. Thanks! Vladick

  8. Hi there, I'd like to change my map from Epoch to Vanilla DayZ 1.8.3. Is this going to be as easy as just choosing the map in the dropdown and restarting the server or are their going to be other issues to deal with? Just checking before I do this to make sure. Several players have reported (and I've tried to troubleshoot) an issue where the player tries to build but it says it needs a plot poll within 40 meters. Then the player removes the plot poll and the plot poll disappears. I end up giving them a new plot poll, they set it and again it says you need a plot poll within 40 meters. After restart, the plot poll is there and you can build for perhaps 2 hours when again the message when trying to build is you need a plot poll within 40 meters. This ever happen to anyone else? I'm toying with removing the need for plot polls but I don't want people building on other people's bases. Any ideas? Thanks! Vladick

All I did was use these files (reworked, v1.7) https://github.com/WilliamJBrown/Re-Worked-WAI-0.17rather than these files (v2.1.4) https://github.com/f3cuk/WICKED-AI The reworked files are older files but they work great for me. I haven't compared the code to see what's different, I just plopped them in and they worked. And more importantly, the trader menus work too! So I'm good with this for now. Thanks! Vladick

I just plopped the WAI folder into the dayz_server directory and added the ExecVM "\z\addons\dayz_server\WAI\init.sqf"; line in the server_monitor.sqf and it worked like a champ. Could it be that there is a conflict with the mission package that was installed by SS? I think it's the DZMS Missions. I will try it using the mission file setup and see if that works.   18. Okay, so I have successfully added a bunch of items to my traders (building materials and helis mostly) but had some trouble over the weekend with a couple of items. I tried to add m134 ammo and the fuel pump. However, for both items, when I go to the trader menu I can see the item listed (without an icon) and I can click on it and view the buy, sell amounts. But when I click buy it goes through the animation, takes my money, but does not give me the item. Could this have to do with me setting it up in the traders data but not in the trader items DB? Or, could it have to do with the naming convention I'm using. I got the class name for both of these items from internet posts. Not sure they are accurate though. Anyone else ever have this problem?   20. Well, I tried it again (from scratch) with the same result. The Wicked AI works great (I really love those missions, when the heli flys over and lets loose 10 paratroopers you can feel your sphincter tighten up!) but I had to remove it again because, once again, the trader menus aren't showing up when the Wicked AI is installed. Removed it and the traders work fine. Weird. I set it all up in the server files. Think it would be better if I set it up in the mission files? Anyone else having this issue? Thanks! Vladick
