Missing Mods Folder

As you can see from the picture, there is no !workshop folder or anything for my local files for Dayz. I've searched high and low but can not find where they have placed the mods from workshop at so I can transfer them to the server. Thank you for your time.

To find the !workshop file you will want to click on the "View" tab of your file explorer, then on the right side there is a check box for "Hidden Items" you will want to check mark that box, you will then be able to find the !workshop folder on your local machine so you can then upload mods to your server!

The image I have attached should help you visualize what you need to adjust on your file explorer

If you don't see it, try launch DayZ through steam, however instead of choosing the "Play DayZ" option select "Run DayZ Launcher". Then navigate back into the folder and the !workshop folder should be there!

Also make sure you have subscribed and downloaded mods for DayZ

  • 3 years later...

Launcher shows that I am subscribed to 126 mods. When I do a comprehensive search in Windows Explorer for "!Workshop", it does not appear anywhere. My game is installed on an external SSD for file size and speed (internal drive is ridiculously small). I play on servers with mods constantly, never running on vanilla servers ever. I'm trying to mod my own, new community server but, so far, I can find no help here, on the Steam discussion forum, or anywhere else for that matter. I know that at least two other people have had the same issue but there is no satisfactory (useful) answer. Can someone who knows what they're talking about (or, even better, what WE are talking about) lend us some time and attention?
