Server stops / server won't start [megathread]

Updated to current. Shows its running then will just stop. Any ideas on a fix for this?? 

Same issue, shows up and can be found in the list then as soon as I go to connect it stops.

**One thing I notice that's weird, its not representing the player count correctly.  On the survivor console it shows 0/15.  View from the Steam server list shows 0/14.

Update: Does not show up when searching through atlas for unofficial, password protected all modes but on the survival control panel it shows its running.  When I look through steam servers it finds it but when I try to connect it that way is when it will stop on the control panel screen. Hope this will help to resolve it.

Yesterday, mine showed 9 slots available and today it shows 10. And on the stopped, I just restart the server when I see it's down. It doesn't take long to start up at the moment. I think it's just a work in progress on getting things to line up properly. I haven't managed to get time to log on to the server I have yet, but is the map for 1 server large?

Same here. I opened a ticket and thought it was resolved, but I am still unable to connect via the servers list from Steam. I also can't find it in the "in-game" search. Battlemetrics can find it though.

This for me though my server shows up for a moment in the steam server faves but then goes away. the one time I was able to select my server and tell it to connect it stopped itself again.

I wonder if there are issues from where they are releasing updates so quickly? 

 

I'm not able to log on my server at the moment cause I'm not home. I feel there are so many factors that could be causing the issues.

We identified a bug in the way we edit the ServerGrid.json to populate some values. It has been fixed.

 

Game servers that are affected are being updated now.

 

You can use the Reset Template checkbox and then Save & Restart to fix it on your own.

Works great Ryan!  On the server now.  AM SO EXCITED!  Really looking for how I now mesh the other servers onto this.

 

We identified a bug in the way we edit the ServerGrid.json to populate some values. It has been fixed.

 

Game servers that are affected are being updated now.

 

You can use the Reset Template checkbox and then Save & Restart to fix it on your own.

This fixed my issue (resetting the Grid). I was able to join successfully.

 

I ordered the server earlier today, so I wanted to inform you that the new servers that are being pushed today appear to have the same JSON issues, but after resetting the grid, it worked perfectly!

I am trying to get my game to work today, also. I see the following errors when a client connects and then promptly crashes. Have a support ticket opened as well, but here are some logs for visibility:

I also tried this several times, server starts, then stops a few seconds later.

 

So, I tried a couple more times.  Eventually, it took several minutes for the server to restart (before, it was restarting after a few seconds).  After that, the server would stay up.  I am guessing there was a patch or something that needed to be applied.

Combinations of reset template and clean steamcmd should be working methods.

 

If it still goes back to stopped state it is likely the Redis port issue which we have been fixing up via support ticket (a permanent fix was already implemented last night but some Redis were still running the wrong port this morning)

Thanks, I submitted a ticket. Although I figured out at least part of the problem. In my ServerGrid.json that I uploaded, it didn't have the ip, port, gameport, and seamless data port. So I have copied those values from the default ServerGrid.json. We will see if that fixes the problem

I just purchased a cluster of 4 servers for Atlas.  Got the email saying it was ready.  Go to the control panel and hit start for the servers.  Says starting and then stops as well.  I tried both fixes mentioned in this thread for the clean steamCMD file and the reset template option and still same result.  Is there a new fix for this?

I purchased a server this morning as well, and it also won't run. 

 

It says "loading" and never actually starts.

 

I've tried the fixes listed here and no luck so far, I submitted a ticket as well. Not very impressed thus far.
