2 questions, first about ping.

So I just got a hurtworld server setup, 50 slots in Seattle.

First question:

It says my ping to the server is 202ms. I am in Alaska and can connect to MULTIPLE servers from Seattle - Portland even Chicago with a ping of 60-110ms. Why is this server almost double?!

2nd question:

I am using CyberDuck as my FTP, but when I connect to the server I try to edit some of the files (host.bat) for one, and it says the file is not found, then says "550-This file is banned on sever!"

Whats the deal? what am I doing wrong?

(ultimately I want a vanilla server, EXCEPT I would like to up the spawn rate on a few items in game, not sure if I need Oxide/mods or whether this can be done in the server files.. if anyone can help that'd be great!)

In-game ping is not representative of actual ping. TO get actual ping, simply ping your server's IP from a cmd window to get real ping.

We do not allow access to .bat files on any of our servers due to security. There's no need to edit that file anyways.

Did a direct ping test from CMD, it was 127/ms. Is there no way we can improve this? (its pretty damn bad, I play League of legends to servers in Chicago with roughly 85/ms ping time)

2nd. I wanted to access the host.bat to change the server name, I realize I can do this from the control panel.. BUT I wanted to get rid of the "survivalservers.com" (which I paid the extra $5.00 to remove.. but it is still there)

last but not least.. I do want to change the spawn rate of certain items.. so can you explain how I should go about doing this without proper access? thank you!
