  1. While I wait for help from support to get my new server running. Does anyone have any tips for changing little quality of life things for a Blackwood 1x1 server? For example, the SotD damage, acquiring resources not included on the map if any, etc.? When I was trying to fix the issue with getting the server up and running myself, I noticed that I can not open the "GameUserSettings.ini" file in any sort of editable interface. I then discovered inside "Tools>Modify Server Config>Jump to bottom>Custom .ini Code" -- Can I type in the entire "GameUserSettings.ini" code into that box to overwrite everything?
  2. I was just wondering if some one had a config for the INI settings already done up so that extinction creatures will spawn on the island.
  3. Okay, so I could really use some help. For the passed few days I've been working on a Rust server for me and a few friends, although I haven't even been able to get to the portforward stage... Bradley.enabled 0, ai.think 0 etc, etc). Are these commands to be defined in server.cfg? or the batch file created before running the dedi-console itself? ** I've managed to get Oxide working/running with the server The server name is always stuck on Amsterdam II, and the description is stuck with some sort of loop bug repeating a brief summary of what you'd put in the description. If anybody has any idea what might be wrong, please get back to me ASAP! P.S, have a feeling as though my /cfg files aren't setup correctly.. as every time I've entered RCON commands & tried to server.writecfg, nothing saves after restarting the server.
  4. I wanted to ask, since ATLAS is so similar to ARK, will there be a configuration tool / page eventually in the server CP like the ARK servers here at Survival Servers have? I'm surprised that there isn't one already to be honest since most of the structure is there already. It was really convenient when I had an ARK Server. Thanks, Merx
  5. My first attempt at using a FTP. I downloaded Filezilla, and got it connected to my server, but I can't locate the config files for changing server settings for my rented server? The "config" file only contains pings and other misc. info. Where do i find the settings for tree regrowth, game mode, etc?

Hello everyone, I need advice on this one, i've not disabled anything relating to downloading or uploading dinos, in the config it appears to all be okay and should function normally, though when i upload a dino, it's all and well, the dino gets destroyed in the game, and gets added to the obelisk but when i download the dino (even on the same map) right after i upload it, the name then disappears from the list and does not spawn the dino when i try to download it. Please advise, if you need any information, i can screenshot my config or give a live demonstration if needed if someone can help.
  7. These settings go into your game.ini These are settings for specific resource HARVESTING/gathering. I stress harvesting/gathering, because these values shouldn't affect crafting. I have not fleshed out what each value actually relates to as some are not very self explanatory. Also there may be repeats, as I've pulled these from different locations in an effort to just provide the groundwork for you to read through them and pick out the ones you'd like to utilize in your own configs. As I work through testing them then I will update this thread, and I think it would beneficial if other people did the same. I will keep this updated as often as I can as I learn what each value correlates to. Of course I'll probably only be providing explanations for the one's that aren't abundantly clear.   8. Hello, I seem be doing something incorrectly on the server. I have an Ark server with Survival and my friend was playing on it. He found a dino that he wanted to transfer over to another server (German server owned by someone else and some other server host). However, he was unable to upload the tamed dino via the obelisk. Then I tried to upload some stones and that too did not work. It does not give me the option to upload anything via the obelisk. Currently we have this setting. NoTributeDownloads=False What are we missing here?

Some times the server set up can be confusing, trying to figure out if going to .5 from 1 would actually make it higher or lower, Has anyone made a guide to how to adjust each setting, Like going to a higher value or lower value will change it in this way or this way? maybe just a picture with text over it? and If not, If someone wants to help me with a guide on what changes what I will make a nice picture with each thing labeled so it can be pined.   10. Hi, I'm looking for anyone who could help me with an issue. Whenever I start a new game on hosted server I delete all the files using FTP then install fresh. I change the serverconfig file to the specifications I want and then upload it to the server with new map seed and things like crate marker on. But then when I save and start the server it always gives me the same map procedural map and doesn't apply my config settings. If I download the server config it's still all set to my preferences just not affecting the game at all. Any answers or help greatly appreciated or a short step guide to starting the fresh server and how to get the new map and server configs I want. Thanks
  11. Hey. Brand new user here. I've had service for an ARK server elsewhere in the past but am trying Survival out. Noticing right off the bat that: 1) Every resource takes one hit and returns between 1 and 5 resources per hit, usually 1 or 2. 2) Messing with the config settings has no impact. Multiple server resets and updates has had no impact. Can't connect with ARKon to try and manually edit the config files. 3) The characters aren't leveling. Any thoughts?

  13. Hey guys, I've been running my server for a few days now but can't for the life of me figure out how to set a description. I tried putting it into my custom launch parameters but there's a character limit of 255. Also the server.cmd file doesn't seem to exist in the server files when I access them through filezilla. I also put in a ticket to support but it looks like there's only one guy doing support and... no offense to him, but I would guess from his short and practically useless responses that he has way too much on his plate. Generally, I understand I'm supposed to input: +server.description "SERVER DESCRIPTION" Into my server.cmd file. Is there an easier way? or Maybe someone knows how to access that file since I can't for the life of me find it?
  14. Hello, i just bought a server and had a hard time getting it up and running, i found out that im unable to run the server in france but only in new york? this is probably why my login time is really slow. I also need some help figuring out how to install mods etc.
