  1. Zomberry will work, I had some issues when I first tried it. As someone else posted their config. You would need to add Zomberry at the end. Don't try to use Community Online Tools and Zomberry on the same server. They don't work well together. You do need CF, Community Framework. Also you need to get your Zomberry Admin file configured and placed in the correct folder on your server. That folder path would be Admin\Zomberry.
  2. I did understand what your asking. CFTools will display custom messages. It has an Announcer that can be setup to do exactly what you wanted. Just check it out and see for yourself all the features. For a free tool, it does a lot of the simple items that many paid for use tools do. Configuration for a server is easy. You can be connected and up and running within a few minutes. It's free for connecting to one server. There are many other features to the tool. I suggest you check it out to see all of the items that you can do. I've done my searching on the internet for a tool to help me with basic management for a dayz server, there are several out there with more features and some with less but they want $$$. Most of the features that admins use are messages on a some timer, scheduled restarts, whitelists, ban lists. This tool will does this and more with no cost. I have found that as for timed restarts, I like using the feature that Survival Servers has on their DayZ servers. I don't own the tool, I just use it and wouldn't recommend it if didn't do the job that I needed.
  3. Also be careful when your editing your files. If you have started a line with a comment <!-- and you've applied another closed comment --> you'll comment out the rest of the items. Been there done that, it was exact same issue as the OP described. Everything was fine. Then once the server restarted it picked up the changes and went with it.
  4. save any modded files that you have such as serverdz.cfg, init.c types.xml and others. Use ftp client to connect and then delete the DayZserver.exe and DayZ_64 file. Go back on control panel Toggle off using DZSA do a server update/validate once your done stop the server, Toggle on to install DZSA and after it's finish you should see the two files. stop the server toggle on to use DZSA check your boxes then click on the big green start button Give it about 5 minutes then start trying to launch your server from DZSA. DZSA appears to not automatically update the mod's list when you add or remove mods.
  5. i've noticed that you have give the launcher about 3 - 5 minutes before it updates with the mods.
  6. DaRT can help you, and a few more. But some do have a cost to use. I use CFTools, it's free for use on a single DayZ server and you don't have to install anything. https://omegax.cftools.de you just login with your steam account, then goto into the configuration and attach your DayZ server. You'll need to know your port numbers and IP address. You can schedule your own restarts, messages, whitelisting, and you even have a server log that you can go back through. The log is only going to show you an authenticated player and the disconnect. It's not going to tell you why the player logged off. I think the log times are in UTC 0 This is a powerful utility for free and it does allow you to set up kicks and bans. You can kicks automatically based on certain criteria and bans you do anytime. You also have the ability to pull a player's Steam64ID, BI ID and other things.

  11. Hello Setting up a modded DayZ server using mods from Steam. I have learned about the special things that must be done with setting your map to custom and building your launch parameter line. I've no problems with that. I have tested with the original dayz launcher and configured the correct mods to load, and everything works from that point. I am trying to use the DZSA Launcher, On the DZSA Launcher I can see my server, but no mods are showing when I use the launcher to query my server for info. On the control panel I have clicked on install for DZSA Launcher. Reading the info popup for the DZSA Launcher selection, this is where this gets confusing. "Selecting this option will launch your DayZ server with the .... launch parameters (only if Map is not set to custom)." How are you suppose to use this feature when you need to have your map set to custom so your mods get loaded by the server during a startup or restart? I will admit I am somewhat confused on this, and I have searched for more information on this within this DayZ forum but not much. I would prefer that if any staff would please list in detail what we as server admins need to do on the control panel to get this working with a server using mods. I prefer to learn and do it myself using the tools provided to me. RIght now the only way I can play the game is using the launcher that comes with DayZ SA itself and selecting the mods. Which for me is not a problem, but many other players use the DZSA Launcher. Thanks
