We are hosting a public server with some adjustments to rates and some fun mods to make Ark more "casual" friendly. Sorry, I did not get snippets or screenshots but I double checked them each time before stopping and restarting the server. As I stated I didnt make any changes to correct the problem. Simply stopping the server opening up the server config(changing nothing) and hitting save/restart fixes it. Next time it happens I will get snippets.

As the title states this has happened to us a few times now. We will perform a server restart/update and when it comes back up PVP is on. Check the dashboard and the disable button is checked and the .ini also looks correct. The way I have been correcting this is by stopping the server opening the "Modify Server Config", changing nothing and performing a save/restart from that window. Is this unique to me or something everyone is fighting with?

Ezzycsgo I am having the exact same issue after restarting today... I was unable to log in and when I restarted this happened to me. I will submit a ticket also I suppose...

Tried to connect today and nobody could, timeout error right after getting loaded in. Figured it was a mod version mismatch so I did a validation and update. It rolled the server back nearly 2 days. Any ideas?

I may have this solved. His Killer Nic drivers were from 2012.. I updated his drivers restarted and he connected no problem.

OK, back to the drawing board... When he tried to log on today the problem returned. Server settings have not changed. Sometimes he can stay connected long enough to move around. Then he gets booted.

That is odd, he plays a lot of competitive H1Z1 on the same account without any issues..

Turned off all anti-cheat and he connected no problem. As far as he knows he is not banned(very trusted friend btw) He would tell me... Thanks guys.

All servers. Posted here because the official forums are no help. Every post I saw regarding this had no reply or the same suggestions with no resolution. Would it help if I added that I never actually see the notification that the "joined the ark" but I do see that he "leaves the ark" Its like the server is kicking him but why would it also crash steam? I dont know much about networking...

My friend is trying to connect to the server. It shows up he can connect but right after he gets to the character select screen and the map starts rendering it freezes and steam crashes in the background.. We have tried complete reinstall, graphics updates turning off firewalls, and deleting his .ini files etc.. His resolution is native and single player works just fine. Does anyone have anything else we could try? Pretty desperate at this point... We have been trying for hours. His network configuration is very basic, nothing special going on there... We also tried adjusting the max ping in steam.

Any other ideas? I put a support ticket in they suggested I remove the MOTD but that did not work either..

Still didnt work.. I had this same problem the other day with gathering settings.. But it magically fixed itself.

I am using Firefox. I will try the stop/delay/save/restart now. -Thanks!
