Ryan Pennington got a reaction from Mya in Heavy demand for servers, Odin seeks your patience!
Hiya folks. We are seeing a lot of demand for this game. Ticket response will be slower. We ask for your patience and kindness to our staff during this time. We're working our butts off getting everyone situated and all machines performing optimally. Cheers and thank you for hosting with us!
Also a heads up we are hiding posts that are account specific and grouping other posts by common topic to keep things tidy. Sorry if that is annoying, it just keeps things streamlined for us to help out better and keep community discussion topics going that are important.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Capps in New server upload option doesn't work
When uploading your save files to our ticket panel please place both the .db and .fwl files into a zip file! You can locate these files at C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds
Also to expedite the process please include [Valheim Upload] in the ticket name!

You can whitelist your server. Here's a quick guide on how to do that:

Ryan Pennington got a reaction from baizhantang in Plugins not working? Oxide updated? Here's how to reinstall + more information
Please note: After a Rust update comes out, Oxide needs to be manually updated. This could take several hours (although sometimes it is instantly ready after a Rust update). We automatically pull from the Github files. The latest released version of Oxide for Rust can be found here:
https://github.com/OxideMod/Oxide.Rust/releases
When an update for Oxide is available from the Github link above, the following process you can use to update Oxide:
From your Survival Servers control panel select "No Mod" from the mod drop down Click on the green Update & Restart button From the same panel, select "Oxide" again from the mod drop down Click on the green Update & Restart button This will completely reinstall Oxide with the latest Oxide files (overwriting the old .dlls and CSharpCompiler.exe)

Ryan Pennington reacted to Shindoku90 in Question on adding a cluster
Okay, I think that makes more sense! I'll probably do the latter, and see how things work. We're still working on The Island, but we're slowly nearing the conclusion there, so I was inquiring for near future reference. Thanks again Ryan!

Ryan Pennington reacted to Craig Linford in How to Install Torch plugins.
Plugins are software components that add features to your server, much like a mod.
Unlike mods, however, plugins do not have an allow list and only run on the server, not on the client.
This allows plugins to do many things mods cannot do, but also allows them to compromise your system, which is why all plugins uploaded to the torch website are reviewed before they get added. Make sure the source of any plugin not on the torch website can be trusted before installing them. You can find available plugins here: https://torchapi.net/plugins
You are expected to have already installed torch from the game server CP.
Part 1: Locate and Download Plugin
Find a plugin you would like to install at https://torchapi.net/plugins In this example we will use performance tweaker. Once you've gone to performance tweakers page copy their link as such: https://torchapi.net/plugins/item/f9470106-fad3-468f-ad60-82371c4764d3 Extract the GUID from the plugin link. (The GUID is the set of letters and numbers AFTER the item/) In this case our GUID is: f9470106-fad3-468f-ad60-82371c4764d3 Head to the download page (next to description button on the website) and download the plugin to your computer. Place it somewhere easy to access later like the desktop. Part 2: Install Plugin
Ensure your game server is stopped and then connect with FTP client. In the root diretory find and and open "Torch.cfg"
Find
"<Plugins />
<guid>ENTER GUID HERE</guid>
</Plugins>" Replace ENTER GUID HERE with the guid we obtained earlier. Press the save button. Navigate to the "Plugins" folder and upload the plugin we downloaded earlier. Start your game server from the CP. Stop your server after confirming the plugin is operational. Navigate to the Instances folder to find the config file. It will commonly be named after your plugin. In our examples case "PerformanceTweaker.cfg" Adjust the settings of your new plugin to what you like. Upon completion start your server and you are done. -

Ryan Pennington reacted to babcock4747 in Skill points
You will want to go to the progression file in your config folder in 7 days.
SO here <level max_level="300" exp_to_level="10000" experience_multiplier="1.05" skill_points_per_level="1" clamp_exp_cost_at_level="60">
You want to change the 1 where it says, skill_points_per_level="1" to 5, save and done, enjoy, I use this all the time. I edit all my files for faster smelting, damage, etc.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Capps in cfgspawnabletypes
I would recommend reading through this post -> https://rexxenexx.com/?goto=Gaming&Gaming=dayz_add_veh. While it does mainly talk about making a brand new vehicle, it should give you all the information you need to know about changing the vehicles to spawn with all parts each time!
From what I can tell you are on the right track, you will want the change to be 1.00. You may need to delete the vehicles.bin (this wipes all current vehicles)

Ryan Pennington reacted to Michael Shankey in Is this host dead?
I've received help and it's usually within 10-24 hours. I've gotten about a total of 10 responses in my ticket and the responses are usually within 0-3 hours. Through the holidays I'm sure staff is at a bare minimum so it could be the time of year but I see no evidence that it's dead.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Overlord in Adding mods
You will have to add each individual mods. They can be added in one line by using the ;. In custom launch parameters use -mod=@mod. For example if you are using DayZPlus do -mod=@DayZPlus. It needs to match the folder name for the mod. For multiple mods use -mod=DayZPlus;@InventoryPlus;@Trader and so on.
Steven has a good tutorial here.

Ryan Pennington reacted to Luke Humphrey in Editing PBO file?
I ended up figuring it out. A lot of conflicting information online and I was under the impression the mpmission (chernarus, enoch etc.) were all pbo's. Turns out my server was having issues and after a restart the changes I made to the .xml took hold and everything is working. Luckily I shouldn't have to use the pbo manager but thanks for the help.
